I suppose now this should be under country life, but oh well. Personally, I find this photograph hard to look at because of the out of focus part of the leaf in the front there, but one of my friends saw it and set she thought it was great, so what the hell. Be gentle, haha, j/k. Full view
I agree with your friend. It's a great shot. Full of melancholy, a little sad (dead leaf) but also with a grain of hope (acorn). The front out of focus only helps to see dawn the leaf and toward that great texture of wood.
And I'm sucker for B&W.

I loved this one! Everything about it. Especially the part where you were the photographer.

This is a very cool shot. I'm on the fence at this point about what I think of the DOF of this shot. sometimes I like it, then the next moment I'm thinking it's a tad too shallow... Everything else about this shot works, and it works well. The contrasting of the old and the yet to be of the leave and the acorn add a very cool element to the photo. The wood grain of the boards make a simple yet interesting background. Very nicely done!

I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
